Evidence of the severe flooding in eastern North Carolina and southeastern Virginia caused by Hurricane Floyd and subsequent rains.  An image from earlier in the summer (July 30) has been provided for comparison.  Notice the distinct enlargement and increased visibility of many rivers and their branches in this region.
